The first event on the schedule for WSOP Online Pennsylvania was the $500 Keystone Kickoff. It ended up with 500 entries and a $225,000 prize pool. The last player standing in the opening event was known online as ratrivers. For the win they collected the historic WSOP bracelet and $48,420.

When only two players remained in the event it came down to ratrivers and NovaRiver heads-up for the tournament title. At the outset of heads-up play ratrivers had a 2.5-to-1 chip lead. NovaRiver chipped away at ratrivers stack before the final hand decided it.

On the final hand NovaRiver raised 250,000 from the button and ratrivers called. The flop was dealt out Jd-7h-5h. Following a check by ratrivers, NovaRiver bet 365,000, and ratrivers check-raised 693,000. NovaRiver called and the turn card was the 2c. ratrivers moved all-in and NovaRiver made a quick call. NovaRiver showed 6h-7d for a pair of sevens, while ratrivers had 8d-10h for a gut-shot straight draw. On the river a miracle 9d fell to give ratrivers a straight and the tournament win. For second place NovaRiver cashed $29,993.

After the first WSOP bracelet was awarded, Pennsylvania joined Nevada and New Jersey as the only states in the country to awarded a WSOP bracelet. Seven more WSOP bracelets will be awarded during WSOP Online Pennsylvania, concluding with the $1,000 Championship Main Event on August 15.
